The Hammersmith-based distillery, Sipsmith, has announced that it’s growth has meant it has to move. To a larger site in Chiswick.
The small distillery was established in 2009 in a garage and claimed to be the first distillery to open in London in nearly 200 years and has already added a second still. The move will enable a third still to be installed as well as establishing an educational facility. This will cater for the trade and have an experimental laboratory, a “mini-still” for training bar staff and allowing in-house experimentation and gin-making classes for enthusiasts. This will feature as a “Gin School.”
